It didn’t take us long to realize that God had brought us together in perfect timing and that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. Only eight months later, in April 2018, Brock took me to the house he had just bought, that would eventually become our home together. There was a pathway of rose petals leading to the middle of the living room where he dropped down on one knee and asked me to marry him.

We set our wedding date for March 23, 2019 and got to planning! I wasn’t very picky about much, but I was definitely picky about the venue. I knew I did not want a barn wedding and everywhere I liked was either not in the budget or too far away. While researching I happened upon a venue that was still in the works, Oak Meadow Event Center. Just looking at the sketches of the future venue, I knew it would be perfect! After the venue was booked, everything else was a breeze. The day of the wedding was absolutely perfect.

The ceremony could not have run any smoother. Something special I will always remember is our unity ceremony. We did the traditional candle lighting ceremony and then Brock prayed over us with “Reckless Love” being sung in the background.

We spent the rest of the night with friends and family at our reception. It was such a great day and it will always be my favorite!
